Arno Thuile was born in 1959 in Cermes, a village in northern Italy in the beautiful Dolomites, where both German and Italian is spoken. Here he grew up with his parents, two older brothers and a younger sister. Arno knew from childhood that he already aspired a creative direction.
At the age of 17 he started a practical training in master goldsmith. There he studied the diversity of materials and different techniques. Inspired by his master, he developed his talents and in the end became his great love for the profession. After obtaining his mobility, and thus his master title, he shifted borders at the age of 26. He followed his heart and fell in love with the charm of the north. A year later he settled permanently in the centre of the Netherlands.
Here he started a whole new life, learned Dutch, and perfected his trade, jewelry was commissioned for a variety of clients both private and jewelers. In 1993 he founded his own studio in Amsterdam where he was inspired by the intractability of the capital. Seven years later he moved from city life to rural life in Friesland. In this new environment, he expanded his studio to further success.
His inherent passion for good Mediterranean life with the Italian flair and beauty, reflected in his work. He does this in colour, form, materials and combinations of different elements. Arno has a fine eye for detail. He is inspired by people, the everyday things in life, but above all by the beauty of nature.
